Dojo Kun/Code/Oath/Promise
Dojo Kun is the code or oath or promise you make when taking part in karate-do (The Way of Karate) in the club and comprises the following simple and more specific definitions:
CHARACTER – Be a good person – Exert oneself in the perfection of character
SINCERITY – Don’t tell lies – Be faithful and sincere
EFFORT – Try your best – Cultivate the spirit of perseverance
ETIQUETTE – Have good manners – Respect propriety
SELF CONTROL – Don’t loose your temper – Refrain from impetuous and violent behaviour
